APPS: One of my favorite meditation app for the iPhone is the Brainwave Apps by Tesla Software.  Search in the App store for Tesla Audio Sciences.  They have some free apps and some paid apps.  Try them out to see if they bring you a good meditation experience.  They work best with earbuds or headset and can be used to get your meditation started. They work really well to get you into a calmer state when you are feeling stressed.  For those with an Android OS, I'll research the Google app store for brainwave apps and let you know which ones I like.

GROUP MEDITATION: I'm now planning to have a group meditation at my studio twice a month (1315 W. Lawrence Ave.).  It will almost always be on Sunday evening at 6 pm.  I'll be sending out a reminder of the dates via this mailing list.  The next one is on June 30th.   This is open to anyone who already knows how to meditate or has taken a class from me.  

REMEMBER: I now recommend we start each meditation session by reflecting on the things for which we are "grateful".  By placing our attention on the heart area of the chest, we can then move to the feeling of gratitude before we start slow deep breaths or starting of the mantra.  Research shows that the emotional state of gratitude sets us up for super learning and connecting to higher energy levels of consciousness.  Try this and you will like it.
