Capital City Striders Tuesday April 11 at 5:45pm

Is anyone interested in a Tuesday evening Striders program for October? There are 5 Tuesdays in the month. That gives us 5 weeks of training to get our steps and strides up to where you'd like them to be. This will start next Tuesday, Oct. 1st at 5:45 pm in Washington Park by the tennis courts. Capital City Striders Tortoise & Hare Fun Walk Run May 18th - Important Info!

It was a little chilly this morning when I ran the full course to make sure my measurements were correct for the 2 mile and 5K course. I also set the pace for the Tortoise wave and the Hare wave on Saturday, May 18th.   The start time is 9 am and packet pickup is at 8 am.  Packet pickup will be under the big pavilion on the north side of Southwind Park.  Here's a link to the park map which shows where packet pickup is located and the Start/Finish is for the 5K. Capital City Striders Last Day for the Strider Discount for Tortoise & Hare Fun Walk Run

Today is the last day to take advantage of the $5 discount.  The discount code is CCS19 and will take $5 off your registration fee.  Please get your registration in before midnight tonight to take advantage of the discount. Tonight I'll be out there by 5:15 for those who didn't get theirs picked up last week.  We start promptly at 5:45 and will do a 35-minute session with a 5-minute stretching session before we head out.  Southside of the Tennis Court area in Washington Park. Hi Striders!  It is just 2 more weeks before we start our 6 week Spring Training Program. Capital City Striders Oct 8 - Washington Park - 5:45 pm by tennis courts - Last session of our fall training

Today is the last day of our 6 week fall training. We are going to see how far we can go in 45 minutes. We'll head out on the Washington Park loop going counter clockwise for 22.5 minutes then turn around and head back to the start point. The goal will be to set a pace for your walk or walk/jog interval so that you get back to the beginning point in the same amount of time or better.
